Introductions

In the beginning of 2025 I promised myself I would write more. I tried, and hope I did even when I couldn't write down anything I was proud of or would satisfy an arbitrary criteria in my head of what makes writing any kind of good. Outside the demands of my work and the one zine I cobbled together, I also sent countless messages over Telegram which should amount to something, doesn’t it? After all, it’s already so difficult to translate into words overwhelming affection, a mind's unraveling, or the cascading violence of state apparatus. Still we persist. The constant and exhausting quest to find the right phrase or gesture or meme to empathize and to console and to show love or disdain or a lesser quiet understanding over cursed digital platforms keep us honest.

For 2026, I choose the same people. I choose the same afflictions.

If you're unfortunate enough to have made my acquaintance, please let me know how to keep a new blog and not end up leaving it on the wayside, because starting over is always the most difficult part, and we all need help with that. Anyway, here’s the New Year Resolution in a nutshell:

Keep at it keep at it keep at it keep at it keep at it keep at it

(Some form of the above has been published on Fairy Circle Issue #2, edited for brevity and to fit the context of the post)
